I can’t think of anything better to be sipping on this summer than homemade Peach Sweet Tea. Easy to make and so refreshing, make sure to take a glass with you poolside. It’s a great tea, which everyone will enjoy. It should be in your fridge all summer long!

I grew up on Sweet Tea!

I’ve been a sweet tea fan forever! My dad was the tea fan in my house while my mom hated it. How can you hate tea? Sometimes I wonder if she is really from the south but that’s another post for another time.

I really like tea anyway, sweet, hot, cold, lemon, but this peach takes the cake. It’s the perfect summer drink and I plan to be sitting pull side with a big glass in my hand later today.

How to make Peach Sweet Tea:

Sweet tea is a southern staple! It can and should be drank all year round though, it doesn’t just need to be enjoyed in the summer!

One way I love to enjoy my tea is by flavoring it! There’s something about a cold glass of tea on a hot summer day.

To make this tea, you start by making your fresh tea. Then you peel and mash your peaches to make the peach syrup. Allow the tea and syrup to cool, then mix them together. Serve over ice and enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • tea bags
  • Water
  • Sugar
  • Fresh Peaches

ingredients for peach iced tea.

Directions:

Step one: Start by preparing your tea. Boil 6 cups of water and allow 3 teabags to seep until tea is made (about 5-10minutes). Set aside.

Step Two: Peel and slice peaches and remove the pit. Use a masher to crush peaches.

Place them in a pot with 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar. Bring to boil then return to medium heat and stir until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to sit for 30 minutes.

  • Tip- Some alternatives to sugar could be Stevia, Monk fruit, Honey, or Agave Nectar.

Step Three: Remove fruit pieces by straining the peach syrup through a strainer. Once strained add this peach syrup to your brewed tea.

  • Tip – It is important to strain the tea, as the chunky peaches would be hard to drink with a straw.

Step Four: Serve on ice and enjoy it!

How to store the leftover tea:

If you do not drink all the tea, store the tea in a pitcher or other container in the refrigerator. The tea should last for about 3-5 days after brewing. I do not recommend freezing this, as it will not thaw and be as enjoyable later.
